Norris conquerors the Dutch Grand Prix, Claiming Victory

Lando Norris began in pole position, he was sluggish off the line, a recurring issue for him, which gave Red Bull driver Max Verstappen the advantage.
On the eighteenth lap of 72, Norris narrowed the distance and passed Verstappen into the first curve, setting himself up for his second career victory and the McLaren team's third of the year.

Lando Norris Standings

In the first few seconds of the Dutch Grand Prix, Lando Norris must have been feeling a great deal of fear since, again, his lead in pole position vanished as the lights went down. After losing the lead going into turn one, Norris put his head down and regained the poise and maturity needed to be a contender for a world title.

After waiting his turn, he caught up to Verstappen and used his McLaren's speed advantage to take the lead once more. The ensuing triumph was a master class in timing and accuracy.

Max Verstappen Standings

Max Verstappen blasted past Norris this weekend, and he might have been excused for trembling with a cold shiver from the North Sea gusts that have pounded the dunes of Zandvoort. He maintained his composure, however, and with a commanding victory gave the Dutchman the kind of heat that the world champion hadn't felt in a long time.

But the McLaren driver passed the current world champion a fourth of the way into the race. By the conclusion of the race, Norris had established a commanding lead over Verstappen, closing the gap between the two in the title fights. He finished roughly 23 seconds clear of the Red Bull driver.

Norris Finished the Race

Reviving the championship on Sunday, McLaren's Lando Norris ruined Max Verstappen's undefeated home record with a dominant win in the Dutch Grand Prix, his second in Formula One history.

After All, It Happened

The three-time world champion from Red Bull came in 22.896 seconds last, having taken the lead at the beginning and lost it on the eighteenth of the race's 72 circuits. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari finished third, having started sixth.
