Top Premier League Wins (1992-2022)
A total of fifty clubs have participated since the commencement of the Premier League in 1992 from which forty-eight teams were English and the remaining two were Welsh clubs.

By looking at the chart we can determine that Manchester United has been at the top of their game since the beginning. Manchester United have been ranked as the champions of Premier League for winning the title 13 times. Chelsea and Manchester City both stood at 5 wins until this year, when Manchester City won the title scoring yet another win. Arsenal has managed to win the title 3 times. The last three clubs, Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City and Liverpool have all won the Premier League title only once.
Manchester United: 13 Wins
Manchester United league titles: (1992-93, 1993-94, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1998-99, 1999-00, 2000-01, 2002-03, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09, 2010-11, 2012-13)
Manchester United was they very first to win the Premier League Championship in 1992–93. The team competed against Aston Villa in the final match and succeeded. They also won the proceeding season 1993-94 making Blackburn Rovers as the runners-up. 1994-95 season could have marked their 3 consecutive wins; however, the trophy was won by the Blackburn Rovers.
Coach Alex Ferguson played a vital part in Manchester United’s victorious success. The team was also known as the “Fergie's Fledglings” by in the 90s. The team bagged many trophies throughout Ferguson’s career. The titles were yet again won by Manchester United for two consecutive seasons 1995-96, 1996-97. The team would have won five seasons back-to-back, but the Arsenal took the win in 1997-98. The champions were soon back with their triple win this time in 1998-99, 1999-00 and 2000-01.
Chelsea and Arsenal gave the United a close competition after the team won in 2002-2003, as both the teams broke off their winning streak simultaneously. Through Ferguson’s immense guidance and great players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, Manchester United remained on top of their game and maintained their triple wins from 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09. United continued to hold their position by winning again in 2010-11, until their manager, Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. The team marked history when they won their 13th Title in 2012-13. To this date Manchester United holds the record for the most wins in English football history.
Manchester City: 6 Wins
Manchester City league titles: (2011-12, 2013-14, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2020-21, 2021-22)
Manchester City has become a huge part of the Premier League since the last decade. The team has won a total of 6 times since the inception of Premier League. They are the current champions of the title securing two consecutive wins, 2020-21 and 2021-2022 respectively. They won the first title in 2011-12, under the management of Roberto Mancini. The trophy was saved by the last-minute goals of Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero, making Manchester United as the runner-up team. In 2013-14, City faced yet another challenging finale against Liverpool, however, they managed to bag the trophy again this time. The team didn’t win any title for the next few years, however, since Coach Pep Guardiola joined the team City delivered their best break-through performance in 2017-18 winning the title for two consecutive years making Manchester United and Liverpool runner-up once again.
Chelsea: 5 Wins
Chelsea league titles: (2004-05, 2005-06, 2009-10, 2014-15, 2016-17)
Chelsea has won the title a total of 5 times. Chelsea secured the two consecutive titles in 2004-05 and 2005-06 making Arsenal and Manchester United as the runner-up teams. The team was well managed by Jose Mourinho from 2004 to 2007. The team stayed on top of their game scoring a runner-up or a third place until 2009. Carlo Ancelotti guided the team to win their third title in 2009-10, making Manchester United as the runner-up team. Mourinho returned to the club in 2014, making Chelsea win the title by eight points. Chelsea’s performance in 2014-15 as the Premier League's Champions cannot be matched.
Arsenal: 3 Wins
Arsenal league titles: (1997-98, 2001-02, 2003-04)
Arsenal has won the Premier League title thrice. Arsenal has always competed in major leagues, making it a huge part of one the top English football clubs, despite not winning a lot of titles. Arsene Wenger has played a major role in training the team for their first win in 1997-98. They won their second title in 2001-02, beating Liverpool and making Manchester United score the third position. The last win Arsenal had was in 2003-04, when Arsenal beat Chelsea. All the wins Arsenal scored were under the management of Wenger.
Blackburn Rovers: 1 Win
Blackburn Rovers were the runners-up in 1993-94. After Manchester United won the first two titles of Premier League the Rovers were the first team to break United’s winning streak by winning their first title in 1994-95. They have not been too lucky since then, however, they have won a few titles in other leagues like First Division and Second Division.
Leicester City: 1 Win
Leicester City won their trophy in 2015-16 by defeating Arsenal. The club was promoted to the major English league just two years prior to their win. The club might not have won any other Premier League titles, but they have won several other league titles. The club is still growing, and we definitely await more wins.
Liverpool: 1 Win
Liverpool has been quite a famous club, since before the formation of the Premier League 1992. They won their first Premier League title in 2019-20, beating Manchester City. The club has had many near to win experiences in the Premier League they were the runners-up in 2001-02 when Arsenal won the title and in 2008-09 when Manchester United won the title. Liverpool also competes in other major leagues, and has won 18 First Division titles till date.
