Tottenham Spurs and Antonio Conte part ways

Cristian Stellini will serve as the acting head coach, while Ryan Mason will serve as an assistant head coach.

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has announced that they have parted ways with their manager, Antonio Conte, eight days after Conte's infuriating outburst. He called his players selfish after a 3-3 draw at Southampton, when his side threw away a two-goal lead. He also claimed that the Spurs situation cannot change even if they change the manager.

The Italian coach was appointed in November 2021, and his contract was set to expire in June.Conte made an impressive arrival, having won several major trophies with Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter Milan, including the Premier League and Serie A. However, his tenure at Tottenham has been far from successful, with the team struggling to find consistency in their performances. Tottenham has had a turbulent season, with the team currently sitting in fourth place in the Premier League and being knocked out of the FA Cup after a loss to second-tier Sheffield United.

Chairman Daniel Levy has made a statement saying that they can announce that the club and Antonio Conte have parted ways by mutual agreement. Levy wished Conte well for the future and thanked him for his contribution as the club achieved Champions League qualification in his first season. He also declared that Cristian Stellini will take charge as the acting head coach and Ryan Mason as the assistant head coach for the remaining season.
